Registered Manager – Children's Residential (EBD)

£52,000 basic (up to £58,600 with bonuses) Company car or £3,000 travel allowance

Area Camden has held Good and Outstanding Ofsted ratings since 2014, and we're opening a new solo children's home in London. We need an experienced Registered Manager to lead it from day one, supporting young people aged 9 to 17 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

This isn't a home that already runs on rails. You're building the culture, the team and the standards from scratch, backed by an operator with a genuinely established track record rather than a startup taking a first swing at it.

  • Realistic earning potential up to £58,600
  • Company car or £3,000 annual travel allowance
  • £300 per month full occupancy bonus
  • Ofsted bonus: £32 days annual leave including bank holidays, rising by 1 day a year for your first three years
  • Workplace pension post probation
  • Mobile phone provided, plus a local parking permit
  • 40 hours per week, you manage your own rota and take part in the on call rota

Leading the reopening and registration process, appointment subject to Ofsted approval:

  • Holding overall accountability for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child
  • Building a staff team that can actually deliver therapeutic, consistent care
  • Running the home in line with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • A Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up
  • 2 to 3 years plus in a management role within children's residential care
  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
  • Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015

You'd also be joining a home backed by a wider, well established group, with designated recruitment, HR, quality assurance, learning and development and safeguarding specialist support behind you, so you're not building this in isolation.
