This is a permanent position, available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexible sessional work across mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Job Details

Role Purpose
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver safe, effective, and professional psychiatric care for adults accessing the private clinical pathway. You will manage a varied caseload, carrying out assessments, providing ongoing treatment, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will be supported by dedicated administrative staff, an internal therapy team, and strong clinical governance systems — allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments for adult patients.
- Deliver ongoing treatment and clinical management, including follow-up reviews.
- Work remotely via secure telehealth systems.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues for joined‑up care.
- Participate in audit, CPD, appraisal, and clinical governance activities.
- Act as a clinical ambassador for the service, upholding professional standards.
- Join internal MDT meetings and service development discussions.
- Follow service policies, clinical guidance, and legal frameworks.

- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Registered on GMC Specialist Register (Psychiatry)
