The Ministry of Defence is seeking an experienced Eligibility and Relocation Caseworker (HEO) to manage complex HR casework related to eligibility and relocation. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Whitehall office, and an induction period of up to 10 days onsite. You will work in a fast-paced, sensitive environment, making decisions based on government policy, analysing complex information, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage eligibility and relocation cases in line with MOD policy.
- Analyse information from multiple sources to make well-informed decisions.
- Clearly document and justify decisions in writing.
- Work under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and support case resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Data Protection requirements.
- Handle sensitive material with resilience and professionalism.
Essential skills and experience:
- Active SC Clearance (no restrictions).
- Proven caseworker experience in a government or HR setting.
- Experienced decision-maker using government policy.
- Competent in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Desirable:
- Background in MOD, Home Office, Police, or Immigration roles.
- Experience handling complex casework.
- Previous experience as an HR Caseworker in a government or defence environment.
