Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our GP clients in Cambridge.

Start Date: February

Contract: 10‐month maternity cover

Days: Up to 3 per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday)

Hours: 08:00 - 18:00

Pay: £30Ltd

We are seeking a Practice Nurse and are open to candidates at core Practice Nurse level or enhanced level, depending on experience.

Clinical Duties

  • Option A - Core Practice Nurse:
  • Childhood immunisations
  • Cervical smears
  • Wound care
  • Injections (e.g., B12)
  • Oral contraceptive pill checks
  • Option B - Enhanced Practice Nurse:
    • All of the above plus additional skills such as:
    • Asthma reviews (and other long‐term condition management where applicable)

    Requirements (Essential)

    • Experience working in General Practice
    • Competent user of SystmOne
    • All mandatory documentation up to date, including:
    • DBS
    • Safeguarding training
    • Cervical Smear Taker accreditation (on the national database)

    Desirable

    • Previous experience working in Cambridge or nearby practices
    • Experience in enhanced nursing clinics (e.g., asthma reviews)

    Team & Support

    Existing team of 2 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs. Regular small team huddles every 2 weeks. Monthly protected training afternoon (practice closure).
