The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property maintenance and compliance environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is todeliver programmed and responsive maintenance works, condition and compliance-related surveys across the council’s property estate, ensuring statutory compliance and contributing to the delivery of the council’s Asset Management Plan. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Undertaking condition, asbestos, fire, and accessibility surveys across the estate. Acting as the competent person for a defined area of building-related statutory compliance (e.g. fire safety, asbestos, radon). Managing reactive and planned maintenance works, including preparing specifications, tender evaluation, and contractor oversight. Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue projects up to £500,000 per annum. Providing specialist technical advice and compliance monitoring for internal and external project teams. The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require: A degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a relevant property subject.
