We are looking to offer a position for an experienced Maintenance Officer / Multi Trade Worker / Handyman to work full time completing repairs and maintenance on site in student accommodation based in Westminster.
The role involves handling all minor repairs to the building and rooms on behalf of our service. Daily tasks you can expect to be doing include:
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance duties in accordance with safe operating procedures and relevant health & safety policies, focusing on basic joinery and plumbing.
- Keeping all windows, doors, kitchen units, and furniture in working order by repairing, replacing, or adjusting as needed.
- Maintaining onsite facilities by repairing or replacing washers, taps, tiles, ball valves, WC seats, fuses, light bulbs, handles, locks, and sealing around baths, sinks, and showers.
- Ensuring all common areas are free of potential hazards, including those caused by seasonal changes, external footpaths, air-bricks, gullies, and guttering.
This is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent. Salary is Β£17.10 PAYE per hour, inclusive of holiday pay, or Β£18.82 LTD umbrella if preferred. Pay will be weekly during the temporary assignment and monthly once permanent.
