Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for Children in Care Social Workers to join Bradford Council on a contract basis. This is a collective recruitment campaign across multiple teams. Successful candidates will be interviewed and placed into a suitable team as decided by Service Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake preventative work with service users to reduce safeguarding concerns
  • Investigate concerns of significant harm and apply appropriate legislation to safeguard and promote welfare
  • Provide a Social Work service through assessment, care planning, and direct therapeutic interventions
  • Manage a caseload, making complex decisions in line with professional standards, ensuring cases are planned, reviewed, and evaluated effectively
  • Work within complex environments involving multi-agency collaboration, challenging family dynamics, and multiple risk factors
  • Ensure appropriate care provision through effective use of mainstream and specialist services, demonstrating innovation where appropriate
  • Take responsibility for supervision and robust review of cases involving care services
  • Prepare reports, attend court, and act as an expert witness where required
  • Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to support informed decision-making and positive outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration
  • Experience within Children in Care / Looked After Children services
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads in a fast-paced environment
