Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced ADHD Assessment Nurse to join a newly developed CAMHS assessment pathway launching this year. This exciting opportunity is being offered through Service Care Solutions on behalf of a respected community healthcare provider delivering specialist services in partnership with the NHS.
This role is designed specifically for clinicians who want the time and structure to carry out high-quality ADHD assessments without overwhelming caseloads. You’ll work within organised assessment clinics with protected administration time, allowing you to gather detailed histories, use standardised assessment tools effectively and produce clear, well-considered reports.
Through Service Care Solutions, you’ll join a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on improving access to ADHD diagnostic services for children and young people while reducing waiting times through community-based clinics.
Responsibilities- Lead structured ADHD assessment clinics for children and young people within a CAMHS pathway
- Gather comprehensive developmental and behavioural histories from patients and families
- Administer and interpret standardised ADHD assessment tools and questionnaires
- Produce clear, high-quality diagnostic reports with recommendations for next steps
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Ensure assessments meet professional, regulatory and organisational standards
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support patient care
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in ADHD assessment and research
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Experience working with children and young people in mental health, CAMHS or neurodevelopmental services
- Experience conducting ADHD assessments
- Familiarity with tools such as DIVA-5 and ADOS
- Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication skills when working with young people and families
- Experience with ADI-R or autism assessments
- Pensions 3% contribution
