Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a Top 50 UK Accountancy Practice who are looking for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team! As Audit and Accounts Senior you will help support Junior members of the team whilst also working closely with clients and partners, managing your own workload. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing firm with progression and development opportunities a plenty.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparing financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities as well as preparing independent examinations for these charity clients
  • Acting as a first point of contact for resolving any issues or queries for clients
  • Assisting managers with client audits
  • Producing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
  • Assisting with the review of work by junior staff
  • Completion of VAT returns
  • Preparation of schedules for Tax returns, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Experience of working within an Accountancy Practice
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Local to Halifax
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified
  • Experience of working with Xero (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
