Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in North Warwickshire for a Solicitor with experience in general local government law or planning law. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive legal team delivering a high-quality and responsive legal service to elected Members and Council Officers. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and the chance to work across a varied caseload within a busy local authority environment.
Location: North Warwickshire (Hybrid Working)
Contract: 5 Months (with potential to extend)
Hours: Full Time
Rate: £50–£55 per hour (Umbrella, DOE) PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.50 - £48.89 per hour
Key Responsibilities as a Solicitor:- Provide legal advice across a broad spectrum of local government matters, including planning, procurement, housing, data protection, and freedom of information
- Manage and conduct criminal litigation, including preparing cases and representing the Council in the Magistrates’ Court
- Handle civil litigation matters, including progressing cases in the County Court and High Court
- Offer legal guidance on licensing matters, including those under the Licensing Act 2003
