A client within the public sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for an Asbestos Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to conduct thorough asbestos surveys, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing expert advice to ensure the safety of council properties and the community. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: carry out the full range of Building Control surveying activities including site inspections and plan appraisals, investigating dangerous structures, responding to customer enquiries, coordinating statutory consultations, demolitions, liaising with experts, internal and external stakeholders proactively manage contravening building works and enforce the requirements of the building regulations through effective enforcement in line with service policies and procedures and the Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator. investigate alleged breaches of building regulations, gather evidence and attend court as required.
