Are you a passionate and experienced leader in youth justice? Sefton’s Youth Justice Service is looking for a skilled and motivated Operational Manager to join their forward-thinking team and help drive improvement and high-quality outcomes for children and young people.
The Role: As Operational Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the Youth Justice Service, working closely with the Service Manager and alongside a multi-agency partnership to ensure effective delivery of youth justice interventions.
- Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across youth justice practice.
- Deliver robust case management supervision and quality assurance across the team.
- Work in close collaboration with Children’s Social Care, education, police, health, and other key partners.
- Support, mentor and manage staff to ensure high standards of delivery and compliance with national standards.
- Contribute to the service’s strategic priorities, inspection readiness, and performance improvement.
About You: We are seeking someone who is:
- An experienced leader or manager within the youth justice, criminal justice or children’s services sector.
- Professionally qualified in a relevant field such as social work, youth justice, probation, or youth work.
- Either holds a leadership qualification or has demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Knowledgeable about current youth justice policy, legislation, and best practice.
- Confident in providing clear oversight, challenge and support to teams working with complex and vulnerable young people.
