�? Job Opportunity: Youth Engagement Worker – Knowsley Borough Council �??? Location: Nutgrove Villa, 2nd Floor, Knowsley?? Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week?? Start Date: 28th July 2025?? End Date: 31st October 2025?? PAYE Rate: £24.33 per hour?? Umbrella Rate: £31.91 per hour?? Closing Date: Friday 25th July 2025 at 17:30Knowsley Borough Council, in partnership with Service Care Solutions, is currently recruiting for a Youth Engagement Worker to join their Prevention & Intervention Services. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people at risk of offending, helping to divert them away from criminal and anti-social behaviour.As part of the Prevention Team, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of targeted early intervention programmes, working closely with families, statutory services and community organisations to reduce risk and promote positive outcomes.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing a caseload of children and families with a focus on reducing anti-social behaviour.
  • Conducting assessments and delivering one-to-one and group-based interventions.
  • Working collaboratively with external partners, including voluntary and statutory agencies.
  • Promoting engagement in universal services and community activities.
  • Encouraging participation and feedback from children and families to shape service delivery.
  • Maintaining clear records and contributing to service improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in youth work, social care, or related roles.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and restorative practice.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings/weekends if required.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
