About the Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the NG2 area. This role involves working closely with children in Nursery or Reception, supporting their early development through play-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to develop early skills
- Assist with phonics, early maths, and communication development
- Encourage learning through play, exploration, and creativity
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young children (EYFS or nursery setting preferred)
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Good understanding of early childhood development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare) – desirable
