Salary: £34.45 UMBRELLA per hour (£27.03 PAYE)

Contract: Temp, Full time, Initially 3 months, potential to extend

On behalf of Newcastle City Council, we are currently recruiting experienced and highly motivated Advanced Practitioners to join the Assessment Teams. This is a pivotal frontline role for confident practitioners who thrive in a duty environment and have strong safeguarding and court experience. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, robust decision-making at the point of referral and assessment, supporting children and families at the earliest stage of statutory intervention.

About the Role

  • Undertake duty responsibilities, responding to new referrals and safeguarding concerns.
  • Attend and contribute to strategy meetings.
  • Lead and complete Section 47 enquiries.
  • Prepare for and attend Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCs).
  • Initiate and issue care proceedings where required.
