Oxfordshire County Council are looking for a Category Officer to join their Children’s Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Flexible working hours however core hours are expected to be covered
  • Reporting to the Category Manager for Children’s Services, this role will undertake the full delivery of key procurement and contract management projects within the Corporate and Commercial category
  • Including tender document preparation, tendering, contract monitoring and contract administration
  • To act as a professional advisor on procurement and contract management
  • Work with Commissioners and Service Leads across the council

Requirements:

  • Experience in Children’s Services and Education essential
  • MCIPS to Level 4
  • Procurement Act 2023 Assessment completed
  • Public Sector procurement knowledge and experience
  • Significant procurement experience
