Job Description
- Manage a caseload of adolescents at risk, providing tailored interventions to safeguard their well-being.
- Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop SMART plans that address the needs of young people and their families.
- Work in partnership with families, schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to deliver targeted support.
- Undertake child protection investigations and work within the legal framework to ensure young people’s safety.
- Provide advocacy and support to adolescents, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory guidance and best practice.
- Participate in reflective supervision and contribute to a learning culture within the team.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Substantial post-qualification experience in child protection, safeguarding, youth work, or adolescent-focused social work.
- Skills: Strong risk assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of youth exploitation, family breakdown, trauma-informed practice, and child development.
- Other Requirements: Valid driving licence and access to a car. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
