We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager who shares that vision and has the leadership, regulatory knowledge and passion to help turn it into reality.
This is not about taking over an established service and maintaining the status quo.
You will help build the home from the ground up — from registration and recruitment through to opening, developing the team and ultimately achieving an Outstanding Ofsted outcome.
You will work closely with a committed Director and have the support, resources and professional backing to create a home that you can genuinely be proud of.

The Opportunity
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and operational management of the home.
You will lead the service through its registration and opening, establish robust systems and processes, recruit and develop your team, and ensure the home consistently delivers exceptional standards of care.

This is a role for someone who doesn't simply want to manage a home . It is for someone who wants to build one.
About You
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent Ofsted-recognised qualification
- A minimum of 2 years' experience managing an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home
- A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 , Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation
- Experience recruiting, leading, motivating and developing residential childcare teams
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge
- Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
- Experience working collaboratively with families, social workers and partner agencies
- The ability to maintain accurate records, reports and statutory documentation
- A commitment to therapeutic, child-centred practice
- A full UK manual driving licence
- Flexibility to participate in an on‑call rota
- A genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

- Take overall legal and operational responsibility for the home
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing staff team
- Recruit staff in line with safer recruitment requirements
- Deliver regular supervision, appraisals and performance management
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture
- Provide strong and visible leadership within the home
- Ensure children receive high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred care
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of every child
- Develop and monitor individualised care and placement plans
- Undertake direct work with children and act as a positive role model

- Support admissions and placement matching
- Ensure children have opportunities to enjoy positive experiences, activities and achievements
- Lead the home through registration and opening
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted expectations and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework
- Maintain robust records, policies and statutory documentation
- Work closely with Independent Regulation 44 visitors
- Lead the home's Regulation 45 Quality of Care Review process
- Prepare the service for Ofsted inspections and regulatory scrutiny
- Build effective relationships with families and professionals Work collaboratively with social workers, placing authorities and partner agencies
- Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
- Lead multi-agency safeguarding arrangements as Designated Safeguarding Lead
