A client within the Private Sector based in the North East is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their Engineering & Design team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or design consultancy within a construction or civil engineering environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide structural design expertise and support across a variety of building projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Structural analysis and design for a range of building projects
- Utilising Tekla Structural Designer and AutoCAD to create accurate models and drawings
- Conducting structural surveys and preparing detailed technical reports
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver design solutions
- Ensuring all designs meet applicable standards, regulations, and project goals
- Assisting in project delivery, coordination, and reporting activities
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and building codes/industry standards
The following skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Experience using Autodesk Revit
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience conducting structural surveys and writing reports
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE).
