A client within the Private Sector based in the North East is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their Engineering & Design team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or design consultancy within a construction or civil engineering environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide structural design expertise and support across a variety of building projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  1. Structural analysis and design for a range of building projects
  2. Utilising Tekla Structural Designer and AutoCAD to create accurate models and drawings
  3. Conducting structural surveys and preparing detailed technical reports
  4. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver design solutions
  5. Ensuring all designs meet applicable standards, regulations, and project goals
  6. Assisting in project delivery, coordination, and reporting activities

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and building codes/industry standards

The following skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Experience using Autodesk Revit
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience conducting structural surveys and writing reports

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE).
