As a Workshop Controller, you will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. Responsibilities include overseeing workshop activities, supporting technicians, maintaining quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. Candidate Responsibilities- Ensure all workshop practices comply with company, DVSA, OEM, and health & safety policies
- Oversee service work to ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
- Support Technicians during repairs and provide technical assistance when required
- Maintain high workshop standards and quality control across all repairs
- Liaise with colleagues and departments to deliver excellent customer service
- Schedule workshop activities based on customer demand, work targets, parts availability, and job complexity
- Maintain strong relationships with vehicle manufacturers
- Produce technical reports as needed
- Manage workshop workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or similar automotive workshop role
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage workshop scheduling efficiently
- Experience supporting Technicians in a dealership environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
- £36,000 basic salary plus bonus schemes
- Work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, with Saturdays on a rota basis
