We are recruiting for a Social Worker to join the SSW Kinship Care Team on a short-term contract basis. This is a full-time hybrid role based at Stopford House, our client, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment to make a real difference in children’s lives. The contract is for 2 weeks, with potential flexibility depending on the needs of the service.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support and supervision to Kinship Foster Carers
  • Undertaking viability assessments and Regulation 24 assessments
  • Performing duty tasks on a rota basis
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records
  • Engaging with children and families to promote positive outcomes
  • Supporting the team’s overall objectives by completing allocated tasks efficiently

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant Social Worker qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ reference history
  • Experience with kinship care or foster care support (desirable)
  • Knowledge of social care regulations and assessments (Regulation 24 etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, both remotely and in-office
