We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a dual‑registered residential service supporting children and young people across two solo homes in close proximity. The Role
As Registered Manager, you will lead and inspire your team to create safe, nurturing, and supportive environments where children and young people can thrive. You will be responsible for maintaining OFSTED compliance, driving high standards of care, and ensuring positive outcomes for every young person within the service. You will receive ongoing support from senior leadership teams alongside access to specialist therapeutic resources and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two solo residential homes
- Ensure full OFSTED compliance and high‑quality care standards
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Lead, motivate, and develop residential staff teams
- Manage care planning, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes
- Build positive relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across the service
Requirements
- Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification, Level 3 Residential Childcare, or equivalent
- A minimum of two years’ experience within the last five years working in children’s residential care
- At least one year’s experience within the last five years supervising or managing staff within a residential setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, OFSTED regulations, and quality standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft packages
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
- Knowledge or experience of Therapeutic Parenting approaches
