We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker - Experienced Adults to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within adult social care, providing vital support to individuals in crisis and helping them regain control of their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to crises and conduct home visits within Gloucestershire.
  • Undertake safeguarding front door hub work.
  • Use the Three Conversation approach to focus on people, their strengths, and community links.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to support client needs.
  • Maintain accurate case records and adhere to legislative frameworks.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding protocols and policies.

Requirements

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Completed ASYE year or demonstrable experience in a statutory social work setting.
  • Experience in Adult Social Care, including court work (Court of Protection).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, models, and theories in adult social work.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car (exceptions under the Equality Act may apply).

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay rate of £35 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, or £27.44 per hour exclusive of holiday pay.
  • Weekly expenses allowance of £150 (receipts required) or mileage.
  • Caseload capped at 25 to ensure quality of work.
  • Guaranteed 3‑month placement with ongoing review.
  • Flexible, remote, and local working options (initial two weeks in‑office induction).
  • Regular supervision and dedicated support from line management.
