We are currently recruiting for a Senior Family Support Worker to join Birmingham Children’s Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting children, young people, and their families through evidence-based interventions and holistic, strengths-based assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to children, young people, and their families using evidence-based approaches.
  • Complete assessments to identify needs and inform personalised support plans.
  • Collaborate closely with statutory and non-statutory partners to coordinate services effectively.
  • Chair and participate in planning meetings, ensuring that all actions are child-focused and outcome-driven.
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns and adhere to Right Help Right Time protocols.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience working directly with families and delivering interventions that bring positive change.
  • Ability to analyse information and develop support plans based on assessed needs.
  • Confidence in managing a diverse caseload and working both independently and collaboratively.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
