Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a Locum Contracts and Procurement Solicitor for a local authority within the North London region. Please find below more details about this position.
ROLE: Senior Contracts & Procurement Solicitor
LOCATION: North London / hybrid working
RATE: £50.00 to £55.00 per hour (DOE experience and interview performance)
CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing, full time
Please note this role is hybrid working (1 day per week in the office) and inside IR35.
The Role
- To manage and progress full caseloads related to contracts and procurement law matters.
- Your caseload will be high profile and high value and will require you to undertake complex contract and commercial work for works, services, suppliers and other major contracts so as to protect the Council’s interests.
- You will also be called upon to advise on procurement issues such as EC regulations, partnerships and best value.
The Person
- A qualified Barrister or Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE.
- Previous locum work in a local authority is highly desirable.
- Have proven PQE in commercial contracts and public procurement.
- Have a thorough knowledge of current procurement legislation.
