Role summary
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Blue Badge Team in our client.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mobility and functional assessments for Blue Badge applications.
- Review medical records and supporting evidence.
- Produce clear, evidence-based assessment reports and recommendations.
- Communicate outcomes professionally and sensitively to applicants.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes.
- Work closely with council departments and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure assessments comply with relevant legislation and guidance.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Previous Occupational Therapy experience within the NHS, community, rehabilitation, or local authority settings.
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
Desirable
- Previous Blue Badge assessment experience.
- Knowledge of Department for Transport Blue Badge guidance.
- Local Authority experience.
