Are you an experienced police professional ready to deliver high-quality investigations during periods of increased demand? We’re recruiting an Investigator (Op Warden) for a short-term contract lasting 2 weeks (with potential extension up to 3 years). This role focuses on the investigation of antisemitic and other priority hate crime offences, managing cases to a PIP 2 standard, including complex investigations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end case management for antisemitic and priority hate crime matters
- Manage investigations to a PIP 2 standard, ensuring high-quality investigative practice
- Carry out victim engagement, safeguarding actions, and appropriate risk management
- Gather, review, and secure evidence; build robust case files suitable for progression
- Work closely with CPS and wider criminal justice partners to support case progression
- Collaborate with established Investigation Teams, Neighbourhood Policing, specialist partners, and Warden teams
- Ensure consistency and share best practice with colleagues, especially during heightened community tensions and key events
- Maintain accurate records and deliver timely investigative updates throughout the lifecycle of the case
Qualifications / Required Skills
- PIP experience (to support PIP 2 standards)
- Background as a Police Officer / Police Constable / Ex Police Officer
- Experience aligned to Detective Sergeant-level investigations (or equivalent investigative capability)
- Proven ability to investigate complex incidents and manage cases through to completion
