Key Responsibilities
- Complete internal and external painting and decorating work
- Prepare new and existing surfaces to achieve a professional finish
- Carry out property inspections and assess the work required
- Identify issues including damp and mould and determine the appropriate solution
- Communicate clearly with residents throughout each appointment
- Minimise repeat visits by completing repairs effectively
- Receive and update jobs using mobile technology
- Follow risk assessments, COSHH requirements and safe working procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service within occupied homes
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 2, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in Painting and Decorating
- Previous responsive repairs, social housing or domestic maintenance experience
- Strong surface-preparation and finishing skills
- Ability to diagnose repairs and select suitable materials
- Confident working within occupied properties
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check
