Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a specialist substance misuse service in Nottinghamshire on a full-time, 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in substance misuse support who is passionate about helping vulnerable people make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.

Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse

Location: Greater London, City Centre

Contract: Full-time, 3-month contract

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday

Pay: £18.14 to £20.62 per hour (PAYE exc.)/ £20.15 to £23 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)

Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of individuals experiencing substance misuse issues.
  • Carrying out assessments and developing individualised recovery plans.
  • Providing one-to-one support and interventions.
  • Supporting service users to engage with appropriate treatment and external services.
  • Promoting harm reduction and positive lifestyle changes.
  • Working collaboratively with health, social care and other partner agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential case records.
  • Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
  • Supporting vulnerable adults and working within safeguarding procedures relating to children and young people.
  • Attending relevant meetings and contributing to multi‑agency working.

Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience working within substance misuse services.
