Contract: Term Time Only We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston for an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential while working closely with the class teacher in a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and raise attainment.
- Assisting pupils with a range of learning needs.
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Preparing classroom resources and supporting daily classroom activities.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Previous experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 , ideally within Year 4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
