Service Care Solutions is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established Local Authority in Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for a Planning and Highways Legal Paralegal to join its experienced Legal Services team.

Role: Planning and Highways Paralegal.

Umbrella Rate: £20.18ph (PAYE Inc.).

Contract Length: 3 months ongoing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide any administrative support required by the council’s Planning, Highways, Rights of Way legal team.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the legal disciplines that are allocated to the post holder by managers.
  • Act on behalf of the customers in legal proceedings and attend and advise at meetings both internal and external, as required.

Qualifications

  • A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (desirable).
  • Recent experience providing legal advice, ideally within Planning, Highways, Rights of Way, or another relevant area of local government law.
  • An understanding of the legislative and governance framework within Local Authorities.
