Are you an experienced Urgent Care Doctor or General Practitioner (GP) looking for flexible locum opportunities across Manchester?
Service Care Solutions is recruiting experienced Urgent Care Doctors to support a number of NHS Urgent Care Centres and Out of Hours (OOH) services across Manchester.
We have a variety of ongoing locum opportunities available, offering competitive hourly rates, flexible shift patterns, and dedicated consultant support.
Whether you're looking for regular sessions or ad hoc shifts, we have opportunities available across evenings, overnights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting with urgent primary care conditions.
- Delivering high-quality face-to-face consultations within Urgent Care Centres.
- Managing acute illnesses, minor injuries, and undifferentiated patient presentations.
- Making appropriate referrals to secondary care, community services, and specialist teams where required.
- Providing safe, evidence-based prescribing in line with local formularies and clinical guidelines.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurses, Care Coordinators, and Emergency Department colleagues.
- Supporting patient streaming where appropriate between Urgent Care and Emergency Department services.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Delivering safe, patient-centred care while meeting service performance standards.
- Providing clinical advice and support to other healthcare professionals where required.

- Candidate Requirements
- Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practise.
- Previous experience working within Urgent Care, Out of Hours, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care .

- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and patient-centred consultation skills.
- Experience using Adastra is desirable.
