Overview

Residential Children’s Support Worker (Contract) – NG24 (Newbury House & Stirling House), 2 Weeks (with temp-to-perm opportunities).

We’re recruiting dedicated Residential Children’s Support Workers to join our trauma-informed residential services at Newbury House and Stirling House in the NG24 area.

These homes provide safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can heal, grow, and achieve positive outcomes after difficult life experiences.

As a Residential Children’s Support Worker, you’ll help create stability, promote emotional wellbeing, and support young people to build independence and resilience.

This contract role runs for 2 weeks, with options to move into longer-term permanent or temp-to-perm work.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people as a Residential Children’s Support Worker
  • Support daily routines, activities, and life skills development in line with care plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing to support long-term outcomes
  • Safeguard and protect vulnerable children at all times as a Residential Children’s Support Worker
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift documentation
  • Support children to achieve personal goals, aspirations, and education/employment pathways

Requirements for Residential Children’s Support Worker
