Are you an experienced clinician passionate about delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments within a supportive multidisciplinary team? We're looking for dedicated clinicians to join a growing specialist service delivering evidence-based ADHD and autism assessments for children and young people across NHS-funded and private pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a clinician-led organisation that prioritises clinical excellence, collaboration, and person-centred care.
As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality assessments and helping children, young people, and their families access timely, accurate diagnoses and appropriate support. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process
- Completing remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers
- Participating in MDT diagnostic discussions with support from senior clinicians where required
- Providing clear, compassionate feedback to families
- Producing high-quality clinical reports and diagnostic formulations using smart digital reporting tools
- Managing your caseload effectively while meeting service KPIs
- Delivering clinical supervision where appropriate
- Travelling to the Norwich clinic for in-person assessments as part of a hybrid role
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of one year's professional registration with one of the following: HCPC, NMC, GMC, Social Work England
- At least one year's experience conducting autism and/or ADHD diagnostic assessments for children and young people
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis within neurodevelopmental conditions
- Experience using recognised assessment tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R or equivalent
- Excellent report writing, communication and organisational skills
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
