About the Role

  • As a Housing Support Worker, you'll hold a caseload of service users on bail or Home Detention Curfew, delivering person centred support while also managing the practical housing side of the service.
  • Delivering a minimum of 2 hours' support per service user, weekly
  • Creating and reviewing Support and Safety Plans
  • Conducting weekly property visits, checking repairs, cleanliness, and condition against Decent Homes Standards
  • Identifying and managing anti-social behaviour incidents
  • Develop move-on plans and supporting access to independent housing
  • Supporting service users with domestic tasks and independent living skills
  • Managing rent accounts and Housing Benefit claims to minimise arrears and void periods
  • Working jointly with Probation Practitioners and multi-agency partners
  • Maintaining accurate records on the resident database

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar housing support, probation, or criminal justice role
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check (with Update Service), BPSS, and Prison Clearance vetting
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence working across housing management and welfare support
  • Availability to start immediately
