Contract: Temporary / Ongoing Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Strimmer Operative to join a busy Grounds Maintenance team in Leicestershire.
This is a hands-on outdoor role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining public spaces and communal areas to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating strimmers and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintaining grass verges, pathways, communal areas and public spaces.
- Carrying out general grounds maintenance duties as required.
- Ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Working as part of a team to deliver grounds maintenance services across multiple locations.
- Identifying and reporting any hazards or issues encountered while working.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintaining a professional approach when working in public-facing areas.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience operating a strimmer or working within grounds maintenance is desirable.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on outdoor role.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision when required.
- Full Clean UK Driving License is essential.
