Locum Pharmacist – Diabetes Management Specialist in Loughborough, 13 Hours per Week, from £40 per hour (Ltd). This role is with a friendly and supportive GP practice on a part-time locum basis. The pharmacist will focus on diabetes management to improve patient outcomes in a primary care setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured medication reviews for diabetic patients
- Support optimisation of diabetes therapies in line with current guidelines
- Provide patient education and lifestyle advice
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider MDT
- Assist with long-term condition management and prescribing support
- Identify and support achievement of QOF and local enhanced service targets
Requirements
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist
- Experience working within GP practice or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in diabetes management
- Independent Prescriber qualification desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Contract Details
- Locum contract, 13 hours per week (flexible working pattern considered)
- Based within a GP practice in Loughborough
- Pay negotiable depending on experience, starting from £40 per hour (Ltd)
