We are currently recruiting for an experienced Probation Officer (PO) to join the London Probation Service, based at HMP Downview. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a custodial setting, supporting female service users through rehabilitation and resettlement. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of female offenders within a prison environment
  • Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments
  • Develop and deliver targeted intervention plans to support rehabilitation
  • Work closely with prison staff and external agencies to support resettlement
  • Monitor compliance and progress, addressing risks and safeguarding concerns
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with policy and procedures
  • Contribute to sentence planning and multi-agency meetings
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Probation Officer (PO)
  • Proven experience working with female offenders
  • Strong understanding of risk management and safeguarding
  • Experience within custodial or criminal justice settings
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
