Role Details

  • Position: Locum Practice Nurse
  • Location: 404 Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, HA7 1JP
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Schedule: 3 days per week (flexible weekdays, Monday to Friday)
  • Rate: £35 per hour (Ltd)
  • Clinical System: EMIS Web

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of routine Practice Nurse services while providing high‐quality, patient‐centred care within a busy GP practice.

Clinical Duties:

  • Cervical cytology (smears)
  • Wound care and dressings
  • Removal of sutures and clips
  • Routine adult and childhood immunisations
  • Administration of injections (including B12, Goserelin and Inclisiran)
  • Urinalysis
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Travel health advice and vaccinations
  • Management of long‐term conditions, including:
    • Asthma
    • COPD
    • Hypertension (including 24‐hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring)
    • Diabetes
    • Phlebotomy
    • ECGs

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Have previous experience working within a General Practice setting.
  • Be confident using EMIS Web.
  • Be able to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
