Job Opportunity: Locum Practice Nurse. Are you an experienced Practice Nurse seeking a flexible locum role within a busy primary care environment? Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting a Locum Practice Nurse for a 2-week contract based in Stanmore, HA7. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Practice Nurses to work in a reputable general practice, supporting patient care on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Performing cervical cytology (smear tests)
- Wound assessment, management, and dressing changes
- Removal of sutures and clips
- Administering routine adult and childhood immunisations
- Delivering injectable medications such as Vitamin B12, Goserelin, and Inclisiran
- Conducting urinalysis and ECG recordings
- Managing NHS Health Checks, travel health assessments, and vaccinations
- Monitoring and managing long-term conditions including asthma, COPD, hypertension (including 24-hour ambulatory monitoring), and diabetes
- Supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within your scope of practice
Candidate Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Previous experience as a Practice Nurse within UK general practice
- Proficiency in using EMIS Web clinical system
- Confidence in managing treatment room procedures independently
- Excellent clinical, organisational, and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
What We Offer
- Competitive rate of £35.00 per hour LTD / £31 per hour PAYE
- Flexible working days (Monday to Friday – days flexible)
