We are looking for a Practice Nurse to work on a locum full time contract in Liverpool. The role is based within the GP practice and is primarily focused on providing leadership to the junior members of the Practice Nursing Team. In collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, you will develop an effective, quality‑driven Practice Nurse service.

You will promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team, including Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors, by developing evidence‑based practice guidelines and supporting the shared delivery of care to the whole practice population. You will also monitor key quality markers to ensure clinical effectiveness.

As part of this role you will attend to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, seeing and advising them about their continuing medical and nursing needs. These patients will have booked appointments, but you may also see extra or emergency patients.
