Service Care Solutions is working with a bustling local authority, based in Leicestershire, which is seeking an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join a busy public sector legal service and manage a varied litigation caseload.

Role: Litigation Solicitor

Location: Leicestershire – hybrid

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55ph

PAYE Inc. Rate: £43.61 - £47.96ph

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad range of litigation matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to the local authority.
  • A significant proportion of the caseload involves leasehold service charge debt recovery.
  • Represent the council in court on litigation legal matters.

Key Requirements:

  • You must be a qualified solicitor (in England and Wales) with 3 or more years of PQE in litigation law, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience of leasehold service charge debt recovery would be highly beneficial.
