Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Legal Support Officer to join a Local Authority Legal Services team in Merseyside. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional with a background in Child Care & Family Law to support legal proceedings and ensure the smooth coordination of court-related processes within Children’s Services.
Location: Merseyside. Contract: Full Time, 3 Months Rolling. Umbrella Rate: £14 – £16 per hour PAYE (Inc. Hol): £12.86 – £14.62 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor legal and procedural processes to ensure compliance with Court deadlines and Public Law Outline requirements.
- Track Court directions, actions, and filing deadlines to ensure adherence with Court Orders and provide regular progress updates.
- Support Children’s Social Care and Legal Services teams in reducing delays within care proceedings.
- Assist with Adoption, Fostering, and Childcare proceedings across both public and private law matters.
About You
- Previous experience working within Child Care and Family Law is essential.
- Experience supporting legal proceedings within a Local Authority or legal environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Court processes, Public Law Outline (PLO), and Children’s Services procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
