Overview
Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Legal Assistant for a high-profile public inquiry team based in Edinburgh. This role offers the chance to support the final stages of a significant legal investigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team
- Conduct document searches and manage electronic records
- Update databases, trackers, and spreadsheets
- Prepare evidence and documentation for transfer to national archives
- Support the wider inquiry team with various legal and administrative tasks
Essential Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Law or a related discipline
- Experience in a law firm, public inquiry, data protection, or freedom of information work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong administrative capability and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a busy team environment

Salary, Contract and Hours
Salary: £39,767 per annum.
Contract: 6-12 months initially, with potential extension up to 23 months.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
