Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a Local Authority based in West Yorkshire , who are seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join their Legal Services team on a contract basis.
Location: West Yorkshire/Hybrid Contract: 3 months rolling Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55 per hour PAYE Rate (including holiday pay): £44.45 - £48.89 per hour
Responsibilities as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor
- Managing a varied caseload of Contracts and Procurement matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to Council departments, senior officers and other internal stakeholders.
- Advising on public procurement processes, including compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements and legal documentation.
About you as a Contracts and procurement Solicitor
- Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with relevant experience in Contracts and Procurement Law.
- Have experience of managing a busy and varied Contracts and Procurement caseload, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment.
- Have a strong understanding of public procurement legislation and regulations.
- Be experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
