Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established community healthcare provider delivering high-quality outpatient services across England. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gynaecologist to provide specialist gynaecological care within a community setting, supporting reduced pressure on secondary care by delivering timely, patient-centred treatment closer to home.
The Role
You will independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients referred with a defined range of gynaecological conditions, working within national and local clinical guidelines. This is a flexible, community-based role with full administrative and clinical support provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage a range of gynaecological conditions including menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea, pelvic pain, PCOS, endometriosis, and postmenopausal bleeding.
- Triage and assess Two Week Wait (2WW) gynaecological cancer referrals, with appropriate onward referral or discharge.
- Provide safe, evidence-based care in line with NICE, GMC, and RCOG standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, gynaecology nurses, and secondary care colleagues.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and governance activities.
- Support service development and pathway optimisation within community gynaecology.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing professional development.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the GP or Specialist Register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, or eligible within six months.
- Substantial experience in assessing and managing general gynaecological conditions.
- Experience in 2WW gynaecological cancer pathway assessment.
- Ability to work autonomously in a community or outpatient setting.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in community or outpatient gynaecology services.
- Experience supporting service redesign or pathway development.
- Teaching or mentorship experience.
