About the Role Service Care Solutions is supporting a central government programme in the recruitment of experiencedCaseworkersfor a vital directorate that oversees the relocation and resettlement of eligible Afghan nationals. This directorate plays a critical role in supporting those who assisted the UK mission in Afghanistan and is directly aligned with key Government priorities.
This is ahybrid position, based inWhitehall, London, with1β3 days per week in the officeafter an initial10-day onsite induction. You must be local to London as no travel or accommodation expenses are offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse sensitive, complex information from multiple sources
- Apply government policy to individual cases and document decisions clearly
- Work efficiently under pressure, meeting strict daily and weekly case targets
- Draft formal written outcomes and correspondence
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across departments to resolve complex queries
- Handle emotionally distressing content with discretion and resilience
- Ensure full compliance with data protection legislation and official protocols
Essential Requirements
- Active SC Clearancewith no restrictions (Sole UK Nationals only)
- Strong previous experience in casework roles (e.g., immigration, policing, Home Office)
- Confidence in applying strict policy frameworks and justifying decisions objectively
- High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication
- Competent in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
- Comfortable working with sensitive, and at times graphic, material
Desirable
- Experience within the Home Office, Police, Defence, or Immigration casework
- Exposure to high-risk or complex caseloads
- Understanding of national security or resettlement policies
