Housing Paralegal
Service Care Legal is recruiting for a Housing Paralegal to join a busy South London Local Authority on an initial 3‑month contract, with potential to be extended.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established housing litigation team working on a varied caseload.
- Location
- South London / Hybrid (office attendance 1‑2 days per week)
- Rate
£26.77 per hour (umbrella / PAYE inc. holiday pay) £24.10 per hour (PAYE inc. holiday pay) £21.50 per hour (PAYE excl. holiday pay)
- Contract
- 35 hours per week, 3‑month contract (potential extension)
The Role
- Manage your own caseload of rent arrears matters and warrant applications.
- Help reduce case backlogs and maintain accurate case tracking spreadsheets.
- Support lawyers on housing litigation, including disrepair, tenancy, unauthorised occupant and nuisance matters.
- Draft correspondence, issue court proceedings, prepare bundles, book counsel and assist with disclosure.
About You
- Previous experience within housing litigation is essential.
- CILEX qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
- Local authority experience is advantageous.
