Service Care Solutions – Litigation Lawyer (Housing Disrepair)
Service Care Solutions are working alongside a well-established Local Authority in Greater Manchester who are seeking an experienced Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with Litigation Rights to join their Legal Services team on a contract basis.

Greater Manchester (Hybrid Working – Potentially Fully Remote)
Contract Length
3 Months Ongoing
Rate
£50.00 - £55.00 per hour (Umbrella PAYE inc. holiday pay: £44.06 - £48.41 per hour)
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from inception through to conclusion.
- Conduct litigation on behalf of the Local Authority, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documents.
- Advise officers and senior stakeholders on legal risks and case strategy.
- Liaise with counsel, courts, experts and external parties where required.
- Work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet court deadlines.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Fellow of CILEX (with Litigation Rights), or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
- Experience handling Housing Disrepair litigation within a Local Authority or private practice environment.
- Confident managing a caseload independently from pre‑action through to trial.
