Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a North West London Council for an experienced Senior Childcare Lawyer to join their in-house legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage a busy public childcare caseload while supporting the Council in safeguarding vulnerable children.

The Role

  • Manage a complex caseload of public childcare matters, including care proceedings and related applications.
  • Provide expert legal advice to Children's Services, social workers and senior stakeholders.
  • Attend hearings and undertake your own advocacy where appropriate.
  • Deliver high-quality legal services while working to court deadlines and statutory timescales.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate.
  • Significant experience handling public childcare law matters on behalf of a local authority.
  • Confident managing complex cases independently and able to hit the ground running.
  • Strong advocacy skills and a willingness to undertake your own advocacy.
